Shallowford House in Staffordshire, England is a Christian Retreat and Conference Centre run as an independent charity within the Diocese of Lichfield.
The ideal setting for relaxation, learning and renewal
Shallowford House is a stunning 19th century building, and was originally the private home of the Webster family. In 1938 J. T. Webster gave the house to the Diocese of Lichfield to be used as a training and retreat centre for the clergy and parishioners of the Diocese. Since then, we have broadened our offering to welcome all people, and have maintained our strong link with the diocese and with the parishes that make it up.
Our aim is to provide an excellent conference and retreat venue and we believe this is a very comfortable Christian centre in which to hold day or residential conferences, training events, retreats or other meetings or social gatherings.
The house can accommodate residential groups of up to 38 and day conferences of up to 60 people. Accommodation is in single, twin or double bedrooms, most of which are ensuite. It is an ideal setting for relaxation, learning and renewal.
The house is set within five acres of secluded gardens, woodland and meadow in the rolling Staffordshire countryside. Located just 3 miles from the M6 (Junction 14), Shallowford is easily accessible from all parts of the country.
