Greetings from Shallowford House!
Despite the cold weather we’re still giving a very warm welcome to lots of different people as they come to Shallowford House whether it be for a retreat, meeting, or training event. We continue to be encouraged by seeing signs of God at work in peoples’ lives in so many different ways and our prayer is that the life and ministry of Shallowford House would enable many others to meet with God in this place. We are so thankful for those who stand alongside us in prayer as carry out this vital work.
This month please pray for:
Simon and Alison that by God’s grace we would hold in balance being available to God, to ourselves and to our guests.
Our staff team
Please hold each of our members of staff before God, asking that He would reveal something of His love for them as they work behind the scenes to facilitate this ministry. Pray for their protection, for energy and a real sense of achievement at the end of each day.

Our Trustees

We give thanks for the rich diversity of skills and gifting that is present amongst our Trustees and pray for God’s enabling wisdom as they meet together. Please pray for Peter as he prepares to move house this month.
Our Supporters
We can only function as with do with the help and support of so many different people. Pray God’s blessing on the Friends Committee and their hopes and plans for the year ahead. Please pray for more people to help us voluntarily, particularly in the gardens once the weather improves.

Please pray that the groups and visitors who come this month will receive a genuinely warm welcome – New Opportunities Conference, private retreatants, Wholeness Through Christ, Reader Training Group, Pastoral Training Track, Bishop’s Advisory Panels, Christ Church Gentleshaw, Diocesan pre-selection panel, Readers Reunion.

A warm welcome
We are so encouraged by all the bookings we have for 2012 and for God’s provision for us. Please pray for each person who will walk through our doors this month, whether they be a member of staff, a guest, a contractor or delivery driver, that they will encounter something of God’s love in the welcome that they receive.
House and grounds
Please pray for God’s protection over and around our house and grounds, and topically please pray particularly for our hot water and heating system that it continues to work effectively and efficiently while the temperatures outside are so low.
Finally we thank you for your faithfulness and support and assure you of our prayers for you as you pray for us!
